As much as I love taking pictures of beautiful couples who are in love and getting married there is one thing I love seeing even more… those same couples still as much in love years later! Today I am reminded on my 5th year Anniversary of dating my beautiful wife that marriage should not be the end of dating but only a continuing and flowering of the time spent leading up to our wedding day!

Once a week VendrTV profiles a fan of the show and street food in a section called Cartivores. This week’s Cartivore is Annmarie, a mother who’s “raising future cartivores.” ::dan swoons:: Enjoy!

Age: 24

Location? Port Chester, NY  What’s street food like there? Not too many street carts but tons of little hole in the wall restaurants. We have a spot that’s owned by Mario Batalli and tons of Asian & Mexican food. A couple places serve Brazilian food.

Wuddyado: Stay at home mom – raising future cartivores. (I like this girl.)

Favorite type of food: I can’t decide between Italian and Asian. I really probably could eat Lo Mein every single day, but I also cannot survive without every Italian food out there. From gnocchi to garlic, as far as I’m concerned, Italian food is apart of the food pyramid.

Least favorite type of food: Penna Dutch. Wow, when I visited Amish Country I was definitely not a fan of the smorgasborg style-egg noodled-pot-pied-with-peas-and-carrots everything! It seems to me that this food lacks so much needed seasoning and it wasn’t much for variety. Put a pie crust on it & throw in some veggies and bam! Penna Dutch. Don’t forget the shoo-fly pie!

Favorite street cart of all time? Well, its not exactly a cart but its this little stand on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. Homemade-to-order donuts, absolutely incredible. They deep fried the doughnuts in front of  you, roll them in cinnamon/sugar and drizzle them with glaze or chocolate or stuff them with jellies. Pretty much heaven in a cardboard box. And eating a donut like that while its piping hot and oozing sugar makes you never look at a Krispy Kreme for the rest of your life.

Craziest thing you’ve eaten? Meh, it’s not that crazy for most people but patte is the most extreme I’d venture. Definitely decided I’m not a fan of animal organs.

If you were to open a street food cart, where would it be and what would you serve? I think a strictly French fry cart would be really yummy. But the angle would be all the different options you can get to dip your fries in. Like ice cream (I know I am not the only one who does this!) or how about guacamole, syrup and all types of fondues? It would have to be located right by Central Park, so you have a bench nearby to recover from the overload on.

Any interesting street food stories? All of my best memories are attached to the food I was eating at the moment. One of my favorites was my first time ever having gelato in Rome. I bought it from a cart and tasting those strawberries paired with the dense yet incredibly light ice cream, I was in love. To this day I have not found a gelato that compares.

When did you first have street food? I can’t even remember but I know I was a kid. I got a pretzel down in NYC before touring. Looking back, it was ok. It was just a pretzel, but for a kid…. there is something so very cool about getting food from a big shiny truck in the middle of the city. Well, maybe not just for a kid. It’s still pretty exciting to get food from a truck

I hope you enjoy these few pictures of my daughter. She is almost walking so her Nanny bought her 1st pair of walking shoes. We also visited a pumpkin patch afterwards. Check out her new earrings as well that she didn’t even cry over getting last week!

I was blessed to photograph this beautiful family during our vacation. The kids were so excited to have a photo shoot on the beach. I love the spontaneity of the boys tossing the football around and how aware of the camera the little guy was!
